The Poweshiek County Fair Queen Pageant will be held on stage in the show ring Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Contestants will be judged on interview, self introduction, speech, and impromtu question.
THIS IS NOT A BEAUTY PAGEANT!! A talent is not required. The newly crowned queen and court will preside over the 2011 Poweshiek County Fair. The queen will also represent Poweshiek County at the Iowa State Fair Pageant held in August. Contestants must be at least 16 years of age and not more than 21 years of age on August 11. Entries are due July 1, 2011.

Senior King and Queen
This award is to honor the individuals that have shown dedication and support to the Poweshiek County Fair. To have a successful fair you need volunteers that are willing to go the distance. Poweshiek County is very fortunate to have had many of these people in it's history. It is a priveledge to honor them. Our senior king and queen must have been nominated and be at least 60 years young.
